A Ground-Breaking New Immersive Software Engineering Programme from UL, in Partnership with Keeper Solutions

In November, Keeper Solutions announced a strategic partnership with the Immersive Software Engineering (ISE) programme at the University of Limerick which seeks to meet increased global demand for developer talent.

The ISE Programme at the University of Limerick takes a highly innovative approach to the development of computer science talent, with commercial experience a critical component of the course. This experience enables students to accelerate their capabilities in the ever-evolving world of software development, while achieving master’s level in just four years. You can learn more about this ground-breaking programme here.

During the course, students spend half their time on campus working in teams and being continuously assessed. While the final two years are spent in paid residencies working on real-world projects for some of the world’s leading technology companies, including Keeper Solutions.

The programme is open to students from September 2022 and has been designed following extensive consultation with industry leaders including Stripe Co-Founder and President, John Collison. The course aims to address the sector’s concerns about the shortage of software engineers. But it also offers students a chance to make their mark at one of a number of partnering companies, with the view to securing employment upon graduation.

Hearing From Stephen Walsh, CEO of Keeper Solutions

CEO and Founder of Keeper Solutions, Stephen Walsh is delighted to join forces with the ISE programme, which he says is very much in keeping with the radical curriculum and industry partnerships first laid down by his father Ed Walsh, who founded UL over forty years ago.

For Ireland to remain at the forefront of innovation we must continue to nurture those who are passionate about technology. Not only is there a shortage of qualified graduates, the ones who study for four years are still hugely unprepared for the often challenging and always changing world of commercial software development. This programme is a game changer for STEM students across the country and we are excited to know that ISE students will be able to collaborate with Keeper teams both at home and abroad.”

Company Video – Introducing Keeper Solutions

In anticipation of this programme, Keeper Solutions was approached by UL to create a company video, introducing potential applicants to our team.

Throughout the video we hear from Keeper CEO and Founder, Stephen Walsh, and our Head of Marketing, Emma Wilson, who highlight how Keeper Solutions has grown to a global team of over 75 highly experienced developers with software delivery centres across the world including Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Portugal, Poland, Russia, and Costa Rica.

Two of our incredibly talented developers, Luke and Sean, also share their Keeper story and outline what they’ve learned since joining the team. We’re delighted with how it turned out.
