Keeper’s European Team Comes Together to Celebrate Opening of New Zagreb Office

Keeper’s European team gathered in Croatia this month to celebrate the opening of an additional software delivery centre in the nation’s capital of Zagreb. This is Keeper’s second Croatian office, having already established a delivery centre in nearby Varaždin in 2015. The opening of this latest office is part of Keeper’s continued expansion as the company increases its customer base in Europe and across North America.

Members of the Keeper team came from all over Ireland, Romania, Poland, Croatia and even Costa Rica to celebrate the company’s continued growth. It was also a chance for the team to mark Keeper’s 10th year in business. This gathering was of particular significance as it was the first time that many of the team had come together since the pandemic started over 18 months ago!

Keeper Solutions CEO, Stephen Walsh, spoke of his delighted at being able to bring the team together again;

“The gathering rekindled an amazing amount of positivity, energy and commitment. Many people met for the first time (in person), and some old friends reconnected. After months of lockdown, it was great to have gotten the chance to bring the team together again. Over the course of the few days the team spent a lot of time together over dinner, drinks and sight-seeing. There was even time for a spot of bowling!”

An Audience with the Irish Ambassadors to Croatia and Romania

While in Croatia, Keeper Solutions CEO and Founder, Stephen Walsh, met with The Ambassador of Ireland to Croatia, Ruaidhri Dowling. Both parties were incredibly keen to discuss Keeper’s continued growth in Croatia and the rest of Eastern Europe.

His Excellency Ruaidhri Dowling became Ireland’s Ambassador to Croatia in 2020 from the previous Ambassador Olive Hempenstall, who has been a great supporter of Keeper over the years. Mr. Dowling provided a comprehensive briefing on political developments in Croatia and how they have evolved over time. The Irish embassy provided great support to Croatia who hosted the Presidency of the EU in the first half of 2020. The embassy provided Irish civil servants with skills in program management, speech writing and ministerial advisors to assist the Croatian ministry during their stint in presidency.

Keeper now has a global team of over 80 highly experienced developers which support Keeper’s international base. With two offices in Croatia and one in Sibiu, Romania, where Keeper Solutions has a cluster of world-class developers. Because of this connection to Romania, CEO Stephen Walsh also met with Paul McGarry, Ambassador of Ireland to Romania. It was the first official meeting of the two.

His Excellency Mr. McGarry noted that Keeper Solutions was the first Irish firm to locate in Sibiu, and he was excited to observe Keeper’s growth in the country.

Keeper Solutions recently celebrated its 10th year in business and we marked the occasion in a very special way.

Working with a local artist, Keeper commissioned a piece of art that would capture a number of things; Keeper’s values, the trust that our partners place in us, our commitment to sustainability and our vision for the future. The artwork was then mounted on a carbon-neutral blockchain and shared with the team as an NFT.
